Clerk: On the 18th of January 2021, we gathered here to witness the first hearing of the case ‘’un-forgiveness against humanity’’. It was a heated one as both parties fought to bring their cases to light and win the jury over to their side. The jury decided that they needed some time to process all that happened in court on that very day, hence the adjournment of the case. After much delegation, the jury has finally decide on a verdict and that is why we’re gathered here today.
Judge: After careful consideration of the evidence presented before them and analysis of this very case, the jury has come to a unanimous conclusion that Mr. Un-forgiveness here is guilty as charged and will be sentenced to a lifetime imprisonment.
Judge: Mr. Un-forgiveness, you’ve been quiet for the most of this case. Don’t you have anything to say?
Un-forgiveness: Dear Judge, what would you have to say if someone betrayed you?
Judge: what?
Un-forgiveness: I have remained quiet during the course of this case because I couldn’t figure out what to say.
Judge: What exactly are you driving at?
Un-forgiveness: I didn’t just sashay into the life of humanity, I was invited.
Judge: You’re not making any sense, why would she invite you into her home to steal?
Un-forgiveness: I wasn’t invited to steal.
Judge: Then what are you talking about?
Un-forgiveness: I met humanity a long time ago.
She had just been wronged and she was hurting, I took her in and we bonded over resentment and bitterness.
Judge: interesting…
Un-forgiveness: we became close friends over time and shared a few details about ourselves, for the first time in a longtime, I had a friend.
Judge: So how did the narrative change?
Un-forgiveness: Well, she started getting better. She became friends with that good for nothing “happiness” and she started neglecting me.
Judge: I assume you got angry then?
Un-forgiveness: I was furious. I couldn’t let her just use me and walk by like that. I had to teach her a lesson or two.
Judge: So you resulted to stealing from her?
Un-forgiveness: Give me a little credit, will you?
I had to be calculative.
I would remind her of her past every time I had the opportunity to, I fed her lies on how no one would love her if they really knew her.
I made sure she thrived on those lies.
Judge: Did that make you feel good?
Un-forgiveness: I felt powerful, she hung on to my every word.
She needed me and it was fun until Mr goody two shoes here came to rain on my parade.
Judge: I was beginning to feel sorry for you but your last statement proves that you’re just as malicious as they say you are. I hope you have fun in jail.
Judge to humanity: I’d like to have a word with you.
Judge: How do you feel currently?
Humanity: I feel wronged and I feel as though everything was my fault.
Judge: You can’t blame yourself. It’s only natural to feel bad when you’ve been hurt.
Humanity: I still think I could’ve done things differently.
Judge: For what its worth, I’ll leave you with this piece of advice.
HERE’S MY FAVOURITE PART
Judge’s advice:
Your heart is much more than a cage that traps hurt and pain and your mind is made for much more than constantly bringing your wrongdoings to focus.
I’ve watched you forgive others but now it’s time to extend that compassion to yourself.
Every single person has blown it big time at one point or the other. In other words, you’re not the first to be a mumu. Stop beating yourself up and and take responsibility instead. Admit that yes, you’ve been a mumu but no you won’t continue to be one. Put your ammunition to rest and stop fighting yourself, make peace with yourself and everyone else, it’s for your own good. Free yourself from the bondage of guilt . You are not your past experiences or mistakes, forgive yourself for the person you once were so that you can grow and become the person you need to be. True strength for me lies in your ability to learn from your past mistakes and propel yourself forward.
They say to err is human, to forgive is divine
I’ll say,
Forgive yourself for it is proof that you’re a divine human.
Humanity: Thank you so much Sir, I’ll be sure to remember these words
Judge: It’s alright, you may take your leave
As humanity takes her leave, happiness is seen whispering to her…its high time you let me in, I’ve been waiting for you.

We’ve come to the end of this trilogy and I hope you’ve gained something. Well if you

I might not always read your blog posts at the right time, but whenever I read I feel like that’s what I needed. This comment section is the place where I feel like I can say my problems just because I’ve found the solution written in your words. I’ve always had a hard time forgiving people
Everytime I feel like I have, I see them and I get so angry. And it weighs on my heart without me even knowing. It’s hard for me to let go but I’ll try because you’re convincing enough so thank you Tovia ❤️
